CYAA Proudly supports the March of Dimes

Through the "March for Babies" event, CYAA will be actively involved in raising awareness and vital revenue to help the March of Dimes fund researchers looking for the causes of premature birth; reach pregnant women with prenatal information and services; and bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.

Between now and May 6th we will be working with CYAA families and corporate sponsors to help make our involvement successful. The Board of Directors has agreed to match all contributions (up to $1000) made by our CYAA families. With your help and your support, I believe we can meet our goal to raise $5000.
I encourage you to sign up here as a walker and make your first online donation:
If you can’t participate in the walk, your donation will be greatly appreciated.

Flag Football Is In The Books
Congratulations to all the teams who won their division championships!  Another great event under the lights at O.C. High School.  And a big thank you to all of our CYAA friends and families who helped to make this season of football one of our biggest and best ever!

CYAA Brings NFL Flag To Our Community

CYAA is proud to announce its new partnership with NFL Flag Football. NFL FLAG provides opportunities for children age 4-14 (as of August 1, 2016) to enjoy America's favorite sport.  Players benefit by being physically active through minimum contact, continuous action while learning the fundamentals of football, lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship.

As an official youth football development partner of the NFL and its 32 teams, NFL Flag & CYAA not only makes a better safer game, but helps unify the football community and create consistency throughout football leagues.  By inspiring player participation and creating fun playing experiences, players learn the fundamentals of football, multiple positions, responsibility and accountability.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions for all sports:

1.  Ontario Christian High School is where we play Soccer, Football, and Volleyball.  Basketball is played at Ontario High School.  It is possible that a location or time may change, as in the case of a field being re-seeded or a gym being renovated.  These things happen from time to time, but we do our best to provide the best experience for all of our CYAA participants.  All games are played Saturday mornings from 8:00 until approximately 1:00 depending on the sport.  Schedules are announced once teams are filled... no later than the coaching clinic.

 2.  Ontario Christian and Ontario High School allow us to use their facilities, but CYAA is a separate entity.  Do not expect the school faculty and staff to have answers to questions about our league.

 3.  Practice locations and times are up to the coach of each team.  This is not known or scheduled ahead of time.  To have control over this, volunteer to coach!

 4.  CYAA does not provide coaches.  As a volunteer league, we rely on and encourage the families of our participants to step up and get involved!

5.  Approximately 30 days before the beginning of each season, there will be a coaching clinic to help explain our rules, what we are all about, to background check the coaches, and to hand out the equipment and rosters to each coach.  After the clinic, coaches will begin calling players and run practices.

6.  There are 8 practices allowed before the first game of the season.  After the start of the season, there is one practice per week until the end of the season.  Recommended length of each practice is approximately 1.5 hours.  Over two hours is not recommended.

7.  Coaches should prepare a devotion for each practice or have a spiritual coach help them.  It does not have to be long, but the Word should be shared with the kids at each CYAA gathering (practices, pizza parties, games).

8.  We play in the rain.  Only unsafe field conditions or lightning would cancel games.

Visit each sport's page above for more specific information, or contact with any questions.

CYAA is a non-profit ministry that provides an uplifting alternative for youth athletes ages 4-14 years old.  Participants develop fundamental skills in the younger age divisions, while growing and being more competitive in the challenging older age divisions.  At every stage, participants will hear the word of God, with coaches sharing devotions and life lessons during practices, and Center Circle devotions for all families on Game Day.  Our "Theme Days" help focus our devotions with themes such as honoring our veterans, feeding the hungry, honoring our opponents, or Bring A Friend Day.

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father. We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
